Why did you decide to become a massage therapist: I love helping people feel better and massage was a tool I used as a kid for family members. So I decided it would be a good job as an adult and it is!
What do you enjoy the most about being a massage therapist: The ability to help others with their pain. I love when clients come in with a problem and leave without one!
What do you feel is the biggest misconception about massage: That it is just for relaxation. I feel that a lot of people underestimate the power of massage and how much healing it offers. Not even just physically but mentally and emotionally as well.
What is something that you wish a new client knew before coming in for the 1st massage:
To communicate. The therapist wants you to enjoy your time on the table. If you want more time in a certain area or more or less pressure, at any given time you should let your therapist know.
